A Romantic DAY FOR TWO!

As Valentine’s Day comes around, we struggle in fi nding the perfect gifts for our loved one. Why not get a gift for 2! Many spas in our area are offering wonderful couples messages and spa treatments. This very sensual gift is a perfect way to show someone how much you care with the gift of relaxation and comfort. Is it worth it you ask? Of course! With all sweet smells of aroma oils, candles and the relaxing touch of healing hands, there is no way that this is the wrong gift! After attending the Well Being spa located in the Marriott on 1331 Pennsylvania Ave. for a little TLC, I was able to see how delightfully wonderful a couples message can be. My lustrous massage began with a foot scrub that left my feet feeling supple and sweet. My day could have ended there! But as the sweet smell of devotion fi lled the air with its blend of clary sage, orange and Patchouli oils, I began to sink into a highly relaxed and sensual mood. My licensed massage therapist carefully removed all the knots from my back and allowed the aromas to clear my mind. This was truly 60 minutes of bliss and defi nitely worth the trip! A highlight of my experience is knowing that you have the option of choosing a sent that fi ts your mood! Whether you need to relax or fi nd clarity, they have an aroma for it! Although they don’t offer a couples suite, they will offer a lovely parting gift and after your massage. Some time in the jacuzzi or the steam room will defi nitely bring you two together!

If the Marriott is out of your way, try out Serenity Day spa which is located on Wisconsin Ave., which offers a candle lit message for two with aromatherapy and foot massages. Hummingbird Spa located in Georgetown offers a double delight and a pleasure message. Soul Day Spa located on Florida Ave. is also providing a great spa package which includes a Swedish message, chocolate scented body scrubs, pedicures, and a delightful champagne and chocolate snack! The Ritz Carlton located in Georgetown offers two specials during the month of love! The Rose petal massage and their Heat it up hot stone message. Both massages are preformed within the couples massage suite! Where every you chose, it would make it a wonderful Valentine’s day!
