Check Out the Pride Unicorns at the Waterfront

If you’re in the Georgetown Waterfront area this Saturday at 2:45 p.m., a colorful boat with dancing unicorns will be floating by the shores. Typically, Georgetown doesn’t get to partake in a lot of Pride events, so this is a great option right in the neighborhood this weekend.

Go Shopping in Dupont Circle, Too

This Saturday from noon until 6 p.m., there will be a pop-up shopping event with over 52 vendors along P St. and Connecticut Ave. NW. The purpose is to show all of D.C. the “Pride” Dupont Circle residents and retail have for their neighborhood. A similar event was held in April with over 1,000 patrons. Happy shopping!

The celebration will be broadcast live to help protect Lincoln’s beloved summer house on Rock Creek Church Rd. in NW. This year’s festivities bring cocktails by Maker’s Mark and Basil Hayden to your home. The event, which will run from 4 – 7 p.m. Sunday, is sponsored by Beam Suntory, who are providing the liquor for the event.

See “Her Flag” at the National Museum of Women in the Arts

Freshly opened on Wednesday, “Her Flag” is a nationwide art and travel project created by Marilyn Artus. The exhibit commemorates the 100th-anniversary year of the passage of the 19th amendment. Artus worked with women artists from each of the 36 states that ratified the amendment granting women’s voting rights. They created a flag — “Her Flag” — that will be installed on the museum’s exterior. (By the way, Flag Day is Monday, June 14.)

Live Music Is Back! Live Music Is Back!

You read that correctly: Live music is back. Artist Zedd will be appearing at Echostage on Saturday from 9 to 11 p.m. He is perhaps most well-known for his song “Clarity” and lots of collaborations with artists like Ariana Grande and Alessia Cara. The event is general admission and 18 and over.

Dupont Underground Celebrates Drag

Now through June 27, the Dupont Underground is hosting “DC’s Royals: A Celebration of Drag.” The event is a celebration of the members of the drag community, specifically in the D.C. area, throughout recent years.
