Strathmore will host simultaneous opening receptions for two art exhibitions. The work in the 26th annual Strathmore Juried Exhibition, “La Vie en Bleu,” takes inspiration from the theme of blue — in nature, color theory and emotion. “Crossfade,” named for an effect used in video and sound editing to fade out one image or sound while fading in the next, displays works by young artists from Baltimore that step between online and offline worlds and between tangible and painterly realities.
