Protests Erupt in D.C. After Trump Win (photos)

Protests erupted from coast to coast in the days following the surprise election of Donald Trump, who some believe threatens their civil and human rights. Shouting “Not My President ” and “She Got More Votes,” anti-Trump protesters marched through the streets of Washington, D.C., stopping to gather in front of the Trump International Hotel on Pennsylvania Avenue. The new hotel in the Old Post Office building has become a focal point for anti-Trump anger. Singing songs of peace and love, an estimated 4,000 protesters assembled just north of the White House in Lafayette Square for a peaceful candlelight vigil.
