This 2015 film by James Crump highlights the work of Robert Smithson, Walter De Maria, Michael Heizer and other rebel land artists who in the late 1960s began to appropriate vast and remote American topographies to use as their sculptural material. The screening is in conjunction with the exhibition “Los Angeles to New York: Dwan Gallery, 1959–1971.”
