Activists Rally in D.C. to ‘Flip the Vote’ (photos)

Several hundred demonstrators gathered on the grounds of the Washington Monument and held a candlelight vigil in front of the White House on Saturday, Dec. 17, urging electors to vote their conscience and reject Donald Trump when the electoral college officially elects the president on Dec. 19. Their goal is to deny Donald Trump at least 37 electoral votes. A featured speaker was “faithless elector” Christopher Suprun of Texas, who said he will not be casting his electoral vote for Donald Trump, calling Trump unfit for office. Final results show that Hillary Clinton won the popular vote by 2.86 million, or 2.1 percent.
