Business Association Revs Up the Holiday Spirit

The Georgetown Business Association held its annual election meeting and holiday party at the George Town Club Dec. 14 with caroling led by singer-songwriter Rebecca McCabe at the piano. GBA President Sonya Bernhardt and GBA Vice President Hope Solomon welcomed members and guests and helped everyone at the club — elegantly decorated for Christmas — get into a Yuletide vibe.

Salutes were given to members of the Metropolitan Police Department, especially MPD Sgt. Jonathan Geer and MPD Officer Antonial Atkins — who is recovering from a burn injury — with Commander Melvin Gresham, their Second District boss, at their side.

Bernhardt and Solomon will repeat as president and vice president of the organization for 2017.
