Trey McIntyre at the Washington Ballet

The Washington Ballet will present a company premiere of the The British Invasion: The Beatles & The Rolling Stones at the Kennedy Center in early March. The program, in part underwritten by the Women’s Committee, will include A Day in the Life with choreography by Trey McIntyre. Brooklyn Mack will recreate the role originally performed by Jason Hartley. McIntyre was at the WB on Jan. 15 in conversation with artistic director Septime Webre. The evening included Jonathan Jordan’s solo in McIntyre’s Blue Until June to the iconic music of Etta James which will be part of the WB’s The Jazz/Blues Project at Sidney Harman Jan. 29 through Feb. 2. McIntyre said, “It is more important than ever for dancers to be trained classically.”
