Georgetown Expands to Downtown

Georgetown University’s School of Continuing Studies has moved into the Chinatown-Gallery Place neighborhood, joining the university’s Law Center, only a couple blocks away.

“SCS is bringing the excellence of a Georgetown education to another part of the city and is expanding opportunities for education and training to residents of the D.C. metropolitan area,” said Georgetown University Provost Robert Groves. SCS offers a number of post-graduate programs, including the Master of Professional Studies degree in eight majors, more than 25 professional certificates, custom and corporate training as well as education and special programs. The SCS also has the university’s only part-time bachelor’s program.

The new location will house more than 3,500 students, faculty, administrators and staff at 640 Massachusetts Ave., N.W
