The Chinese-American community celebrated the Year of the Dragon with a parade that attracted thousands to the Chinatown neighborhood of Washington DC. The celebration, which took place on Sunday, January 29, 2012, included a dragon dance, a lion dance, kung fu demonstrations and the lighting of a giant firecracker.
