To mark the 10th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks, the Newseum is expanding its popular FBI exhibit with a new section focusing on the FBI’s role in fighting terrorism before and after Sept. 11, 2001. The new section will open to the public on Friday, Sept. 2. Sixty new artifacts, including engine parts and landing gears from the planes that crashed into the World Trade Center, plus articles from the case of shoe bomber Richard Reid, whose shoes, clothing and matches are on display.
