Santarchy Invades DC (photos)


If you saw dozens of Santas parading around the District on Saturday, Dec. 17, you probably were witness to Santarchy. This is an annual Christmas event held in major cities around the world where thousands of Santas visit major sites and spread their holiday cheer. Organizers describe Santarchy as “a non-profit, non-political, non-religious & non-sensical celebration of holiday cheer, goodwill, and fun.” They are also quick to add that they are not protestors. and will not be occupying anyting except the North Pole.
