Photo: Ella Pozell and son Joseph during the ceremony on Saturday, May 2 in Georgetown where the city dedicated the intersection of Wisconsin and M Streets as Joe Pozell Square. Reserve Officer Joseph Pozell was hit and later died while directing traffic at t his intersection.

MY PARADISE A Hundred Years of Finnish Architects’ Summer Homes Photographs – Films – Scale models Through June 8 (closed May 18, 22, 26, 30) Open daily 1–4:30 pm, free admission. This exhibition represents a unique opportunity to experience the summer homes of Finland’s most important architects. The exhibition consists of new photographs by photographer Jari Jetsonen and of original drawings and historical photographs from collections of private individual architects, the Museum of Finnish Architecture and the Alvar Aalto Museum. A significant addition to the exhibition is provided by scale models and films. Winners of the annual Georgetown Tree Box/Front Garden Competition, sponsored by the Georgetown Garden Club, have been announced. Award ribbons have been placed in the boxes and front gardens.
